Spirit of Purdue University Travel Regulations

All University travelers seeking reimbursement should incur the lowest reasonable travel expense and should exercise care to avoid impropriety or the appearance of impropriety, including the public perception that a business trip has been taken for personal reasons.  If a circumstance arises that is not specifically covered, either the most conservative course within the "spirit" of the travel regulations shall be adopted or consultation for guidance with the Central Travel Office should be pursued.

TRAVEL WARNINGS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS See U.S. State Department for latest travel alerts/announcements and warnings.  Travel to countries with alerts/announcements or warnings must be routed through Office of International Programs for review prior to final approval.  Passport and visa information can also be found at this site.  CHANGE IN INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Beginning January 23, 2007, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling by air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda will be required to present a valid passport, Air NEXUS card, U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Document, or an Alien Registration Card, Form I-551, if applicable.  For additional information visit the State Department website.
