Purdue University's Surplus Stores Goals 2 - Generate revenue through sale of merchandise to the public 3 - Reduce landfill costs through sale of merchandise The Purdue University Warehouse and Surplus Disposal has been in existence since the mid 1960's. It started out with a one day auction held in July of each year until 1968 when the North 9th Street warehouses were purchased. The six buildings and back lot were considered perfect for departmental storage and for the Surplus & Salvage Operation. This operation enabled the University to have more departmental storage space and to hold auctions more often. Over time, the auctions were phased out and the Surplus store was started. In the spring of 2004, we relocated to 3601 Sagamore Pkwy. N., Suite K, in the INOK building. We receive good, used surplus from campus every day. We are open to the general public Monday through Friday, noon to 4 p.m. |
