Welcome to the Summer Start session!

The Purdue Summer Start session is an innovative, five-week summer module that gives you a head start on your college career as a Boilermaker and guarantees you admission to the fall semester as long as you complete the five weeks. This session will provide you with the tools, resources and knowledge to jumpstart your freshman year. You'll become familiar with campus resources, professors, other students, and the ins and outs of college living — all while earning required college credits towards your degree!

Some students are required to complete Summer Start as a condition of their admission offer and many others voluntarily choose to be a part of such a rewarding program. If you are required to complete Summer Start as a condition of your admission then please log in to your application status portal and accept the switch to summer term by filling out the Summer Start Reply Form under the Application Reply Forms tab.

Incoming freshmen who have accepted their offer of admission for Fall 2017 may request to switch to Summer Start by submitting the “Switch to Summer Start” form under the Application Reply Forms tab of their admissions application portal (when logging in, use the email address you provided on your admission application, not your purdue.edu address). Summer Start is available on a first-come-first-served basis to domestic students only. In addition, students in some majors/programs are not eligible. If you do not see the form on your application portal and have questions about your eligibility, you may contact Summer Start.

Please check out the various resources on this site and contact us with any questions you may have. Also, please remember to go through the Admissions Checklist to officially become a Boilermaker!
