Supplier diversity development director receives Sagamore

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Jesse Moore, Purdue University’s director of the Office of Supplier Diversity Development, was awarded the Sagamore of the Wabash, one of Indiana’s highest honors.

Moore, who has a long history of championing diversity and meritorious service, was honored for his service throughout the state as an advocate for diverse businesses and his service on the Governor's Commission on Minority and Women's Business Enterprises.

The Sagamore of the Wabash is bestowed by the state’s governor. It is a personal tribute usually given to those who have rendered a distinguished service to the state or governor. Among those who have received Sagamores have been astronauts, presidents, ambassadors, artists, musicians, politicians, and ordinary citizens who have contributed greatly to the Hoosier heritage.

In March, Moore was awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award by the National Association of Educational Procurement at its annual national convention in Reno, Nevada. That award acknowledges and recognizes the voluntary achievements of a current Member who has contributed time and resources to benefit the overall goals of NAEP
