This week’s ‘Thumbs Up’ recipients

Kirsten Koontz

(Administrative Services): Kirsten, great job for the coordination and communication with staff while we had systems down. You answered every person that reached out individually and let facilities leaders know updates. I appreciate you taking lead in my absence and keeping everyone informed. Thanks! — Jacob Garis (Administrative Services)

Robin Haywood

Robin Haywood (Office of the Registrar): A huge thank-you to Robin Haywood for all her help building the schedule in Health and Kinesiology. My first schedule build as a new schedule deputy would have been impossible without her help! — Christy Daugherty (Health and Kinesiology)

Ana Estrada, Elizabeth Martinez and Rhoda Spear

Ana Estrada, Elizabeth Martinez and Rhoda Spear (all Building Services): I want to thank Ana Estrada, Elizabeth Martinez and Rhoda Spear, all with the weekday refresh team, for coming out twice in one recent day to clean a Krannert men's room after someone sprayed a white powder all over the entire room, not once but twice. They were very helpful, friendly and did a thorough job in cleaning the room twice in one day. They are gems of our campus! — Tom Brown (Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business)

Jen Bannon and Renee Kashawlic

Jen Bannon (Resident Activities) and Renee Kashawlic (University Residences Engagement and Development): Big shout-out to Jen and Renee for their work in organizing and planning the first annual Rakosnik Legacy Gala. Special mention to Brian Kocher (Campus Living and Compliance) for organizing the Residential Life professional staff flash mob! You all are amazing. — Adam Iserman (Residential Life)

Suzi Manns

Suzi Manns (Procurement Services): Suzi does little things every day that make a purchaser's job so much easier. Somehow, she is able to treat us all like we are the only customer or job requirement she has in a day. Keep up the great job always adding a smile to our conversations! — Patrice Castillo (Agriculture Purchasing Center)

Darryl Duncan

Darryl Duncan (Procurement Services): I had not traveled prior to COVID-19 and recently attended a conference in North Carolina. Upon my return I completed the Business Qualtrics survey, and Darryl was assigned my travel expense. Darryl professionally walked me through things I was missing and how to review and approve the entire process. The communication was excellent and efficient. His patience and professionalism were greatly appreciated while walking me through the process. — T.R. Oneal (Purdue Polytechnic Institute)

Kenneth Suter and Elizabeth Wagner

Kenneth Suter and Elizabeth Wagner (both Regulatory Affairs): Once again, Ken and Elizabeth jumped into action when an issue arose yesterday with the submission of a proposal. They responded quickly, worked well after business hours and again early this morning to resolve the issue. With their help, we were able to submit a $3 million proposal to support the growth of Purdue’s capabilities in aerospace engineering. Knowing that we can rely on such qualified support is just as valuable as the support itself. — Timothee Pourpoint (Aeronautics and Astronautics)

College of Pharmacy Business Office

College of Pharmacy Business Office: A special thank-you to Donna Brown for her help getting an issue fixed. The entire business office always goes above and beyond with assisting members of the college. I always appreciate how helpful and friendly they all are! — Katie May (College of Pharmacy)

Jeff Rattray

Jeff Rattray (Pharmacy IT): Thank you to Jeff for always helping me with computer issues. My computer started having issues when I was at a recruiting event and Jeff reached out immediately to see what he could do, even when I wasn't in the building. — Katie May (College of Pharmacy)

Carmen Williams

Carmen Williams (Recreation and Wellness): Thank you for always helping connect me with the right people! — Katie May (College of Pharmacy)

Pam Ringor

Pam Ringor (College of Pharmacy): Pam always goes above and beyond for all students. She always makes herself available when a student needs to talk. A special thank-you for always doing small things to help out the students, like donating plastic utensils for the PCC. — Katie May (College of Pharmacy)

Craig Personett

Craig Personett (Agricultural Sciences Education and Communication): We would like to recognize Craig for his quick response in resolving issues with technology during classes with guest speakers from other states and outside the country. — Anne N Lutomia (Entomology) and Julia Bello-Bravo (Agricultural Sciences Education and Communication)

Brenda Strasser

Brenda Strasser (Building Services): I want to thank Brenda Strasser for all of her hard work and attention she has given to the Drug Discovery building. She goes above and beyond to maintain a level of cleanliness throughout her area. She personally helped me this past year on many occasions to make sure the conference rooms and other common areas were ready for any event. Thank you, Brenda, for all you do! — Lisa Muncy (Purdue Research — Central Support)
