Ever True: The Campaign for Purdue University is officially the largest fundraising initiative in the University’s history. The campaign, launched in 2012 and publicly announced in 2015, generated $2.529 billion as of June 30, some 25% over its $2.019 billion goal.

In one week, the “Cradle of Astronauts” and Neil Armstrong’s alma mater will kick off its celebration for the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Purdue is celebrating with a series of events taking place July 18-20

Purdue students who dream to follow in Neil Armstrong’s footsteps don’t have to go very far to find inspiration. The “Neil A. Armstrong Papers,” located in Purdue’s Archives and Special Collections, contains Armstrong's manuscripts, personal papers, working files and artifacts, and a selection of those items is now on display for the public.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has licensed Purdue University Reactor Number One as the first entirely digital nuclear reactor instrumentation and control system in the nation. The upgraded reactor and facility, originally built in 1962, paves the way for widespread implementation of digital technology in both research and industry reactors.
