License Plates

Every day, Purdue University alumni and friends demonstrate their Boilermaker pride and commitment in a variety of meaningful ways. One of the ways you've shown your support is through the purchase and display of a Purdue fundraiser license plate, featuring Purdue's Motion P logo, through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV).

The Purdue Motion P has come to be recognized in Indiana, across the United States, and around the world as a distinctive symbol of Purdue and what it means to be a Boilermaker. At a glance, the Purdue Motion P communicates Purdue's tradition of excellence and its commitment to advancing the common good in uncommon ways.

The BMV license plate program, which began in 1991, has raised more than $12 million for the Purdue Scholarship Fund. An annual donation of $25 is required to purchase the plate in addition to other vehicle registration fees.
