Recruiting Excellent Faculty

The Office of the Provost and Office of Ethics and Compliance (OIE) will hold in-person training workshops required for all faculty who participate on or chair search committees. The goals of this training are to:

  1. Help you conduct an efficient, effective, and compliant equal opportunity search
  2. Help you be intentional about your search efforts and processes
  3. Provide opportunity to learn about biases and assumptions, ways to insulate your search from them, and what to do if something goes ‘wrong’ in a search

Faculty search committees are to be comprised of individuals who have completed this training or a previous Faculty Search and Screen workshop within the last five years (see Past Workshop Attendees list below).
