Report a person stuck in an elevator, a major flood or a major power outage
Between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., contact the Work Request Center at (765) 494-9999 to report a critical situation (such as a major flood, major power outage, or a person stuck in an elevator).
If a critical situation occurs between the hours of 4 p.m. and 7:30 a.m., contact the Purdue Police Dispatch Center (their non-emergency phone number) at (765) 494-8221.
Report a gas leak
After evacuating the building, call 911.
Request a safe walk escort from Purdue Student Security Patrol
Students in need of a safe walk escort to and from campus buildings may call the Purdue Student Security Patrol for assistance at (765) 494-7233. Safe walk services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Report a building or grounds hazard
Report any general building hazards (e.g. wet or slippery floors, broken elevators) to a building deputy. A complete list of campus building deputies can be found on the Building Deputy webpage.
Report any general grounds hazards (e.g. icy sidewalks, downed tree limbs) may be reported to the Grounds department at (765) 494-3087.
Report an unsafe work condition
Complete the Report a Safety Concern form to communicate any unsafe work conditions (e.g. indoor air quality concerns, improper PPE usage, missing equipment guards).
To report a concern immediatly, contact Radiological and Environmental Management at (765) 494-6371 during regular business hours. After hours, contact the Purdue University Police Department at their non-emergency number: (765) 494-8221.

Obtain assistance with hazardous waste, industrial hygiene or environmental health
