Doing business with us

Purdue’s competitive solicitation process is designed to provide contracts at the best value for the university while creating clear, open pathways for qualified suppliers to participate. Office of Supplier Development and Engagement supports this process by helping vendors understand sourcing opportunities, procurement expectations and the resources available to help them connect, compete and grow. 

Purdue welcomes all qualified vendors and emphasizes outreach, education and engagement for small businesses, veteran-owned businesses, Indiana-based firms and start-ups. This approach supports a broad and competitive supplier network while encouraging innovation, local impact and long-term partnership. 

All suppliers who want to do business with Purdue University must:

• Be registered with the Secretary of State.
• Not be suspended from doing business with Purdue, the state of Indiana and/or the federal government.

Additional requirements and notices of work

Contractors

Contractors must be pre-qualified through the state of Indiana for capital projects. Contractors who are not already pre-qualified should follow the process outlined by the Indiana Department of Administration for future consideration.

Food and beverage suppliers

Food and beverage suppliers must register for solicitations at hfs-FSBuyers@groups.purdue.edu.
