The department has the following goals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Receive and precisely process&nbsp;university goods and materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide the highest quality&nbsp;level of package processing and&nbsp;handling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain accurate&nbsp;tracking records for freight and small package&nbsp;shipments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div  id=\"tracking\" class=\"section has-padding-top-small has-padding-bottom-small \">\n    <div class=\"container\">\n                \n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns page-layout-columns columns is-multiline is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column column is-full-tablet page-layout-main is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Track a Package<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have sent or are expecting a package and need to track it, have the tracking number and the shipping carrier available (for example, UPS, FedEx, or USPS). Visit the carrier\u2019s website to check the current status of your shipment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column column is-one-quarter-desktop is-full-tablet is-full-mobile page-layout-sidebar is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div  id=\"freight\" class=\"section has-padding-top-small has-padding-bottom-small \">\n    <div class=\"container\">\n                \n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns page-layout-columns columns is-multiline is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column column is-full-tablet page-layout-main is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Receiving Freight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Receiving freight through MMDC ensures better control and accountability for incoming freight and allows for the reduction or elimination of larger truck traffic on campus. Once freight is signed for and received at MMDC, the product is staged for delivery. If concealed damage is found, you must file a freight claim with the carrier directly. Most freight companies bring all campus items to MMDC first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If we cannot transport the product to the building due to size and\/or weight constraints, it is the responsibility of the recipient\/department to contact Purdue&#8217;s General Labor team and fill out a Form 18A to get the shipment delivered to the designated location. If you know in advance that the item is oversized and the General Labor team will be transporting and delivering to your building, please put the work order in ahead of time.
