Established in 2001, the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program is committed to sending American students of limited financial means from all backgrounds to study abroad.
James Yeakel received a Gilman Scholarship to Russia for a semester-study abroad program at the International University in Moscow. As a Russian major, this study abroad in Russia is perfect for enhancing his undergraduate studies. While there, he will be studying advanced Russian with the additional support of Gilman’s Critical Need Language Scholarship combined with the Fulbright-Hays Fellowship.
