Elijah St. Angelo was awarded the Gilman Scholarship to study abroad in Ireland on the Dublin Institute of Technology Exchange Program. His major in construction management fits perfectly with this program’s focus on sustainability in construction. He looks forward to being able to compare American and European sustainability practices to enhance his future career aspirations in the U.S. construction industry.

 

Over the years, Elijah has committed to living sustainably to reduce his impact on the environment. Growing up, vegetable gardening and recycling were family practices that planted the seeds towards his current sustainability interests in renewable energy.

 

Recognizing the need for an international perspective in his experiences with construction management, Elijah intends to share about his study abroad program and Gilman to his peers in hopes of sparking their interest in international education.
