Victoria Sinfield takes the next giant leap with a Fulbright Study/Research award to Geneva, Switzerland, where she will complete a project entitled, Comprehensive analysis of bodily dissociation: A multimodal approach. Victoria will contribute her expertise in brain imaging and signal processing to the design and implementation of neuroscience and neurotechnology experiments at the Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience (LNCO) at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Victoria notes that Olaf Blanke, a pioneer in cognition and neurotechnology, will be an invaluable mentor as she builds on a stream of research occurring in his lab and navigates a research career in the future. A double boiler in the making, Victoria completed a bachelor's degree with a double major in Linguistics and Biomedical Engineering. Notably, she was awarded the Biomedical Engineering Undergraduate Teaching Award in 2023. With near native fluency in Italian and advanced fluency in French, Victoria’s interest in language and linguistics is not limited to the classroom. As an undergraduate, Victoria participated in Purdue’s premier acapella group from 2020 to 2023, including as President of Purdue AcaBellas.
