Alexandra Hasenour was awarded the Gilman Scholarship to study abroad in Germany on Purdue’s GEARE Karlsruhe program. GEARE includes both a study and an internship portion. The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology provides her with specialized classes within her field. With the internship, she will be with Textron, a German company that also has U.S. locations. She looks forward to gaining experience in both German and American work environments.

 

A long-time student of German language and culture, Alexandra is excited for the opportunity to enhance her German language and cross-cultural communication skills while exploring Karlsruhe. She loves visiting museums and is excited to explore all that Germany has to offer including the Mercedes-Benz Museum.

 

German club brings back fond memories for Alexandra, so her proposed follow-on project is returning to her club to present on her experiences on study abroad with Gilman.
