Established in 2001, the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program is committed to sending American students of limited financial means from all backgrounds to study abroad.
Emma received the Gilman Scholarship to study abroad. As a double major in SLHS and psychology, she focuses on developing her understanding of neuroscience’s role in communication. Her past experiences conducting research in cognitive neuroscience and volunteering in as a speech-language pathologist classroom assistant, Mental Health specialist, and American Sign Language teaching assistant prepared her well for her study abroad program.
