Brian Boone was offered the Gilman Scholarship to study abroad in France on the IES-Paris program. While there, they planned to take courses, furthering their philosophy and French studies. They looked forward to advancing their French through daily communication in Paris.

 

As a philosophy and French double-major, Brian naturally gravitates towards studying French philosophers like Simone de Beauvoir and Jean-Paul Sartre. They also enjoy flexing their creative muscles through reading and writing poetry.

 

Brian’s proposed follow-on project focused on sharing their experiences in Paris, France through Gilman to encourage other students to consider studying abroad, too, and raise awareness of the Gilman Scholarship.
