Faculty applications invited for Scholarship of Engagement Fellows Program, Societal Impact Fellows Program
The Office of Engagement is inviting applications for its Scholarship of Engagement Fellows Program and Societal Impact Fellows Program.
Scholarship of Engagement Fellows Program
A dozen assistant or associate professors from Purdue's West Lafayette, Northwest and Fort Wayne campuses will be chosen this spring for the University's 2022-23 Scholarship of Engagement Fellows Program. The purpose of the program is to foster the development of the scholarship of engagement for faculty throughout the Purdue system in support of the promotion and/or tenure process.
Fellows will work with a panel of senior faculty mentors from the Purdue system who have a history of successful engaged scholarship. The program will focus on: 1) understanding the scholarship of engagement; 2) documenting impact; and 3) evaluating impact. Fellows will receive direct feedback from mentors on their promotion document, based on scholarship of engagement. Fellows will receive a stipend of $1,500 to be used for activities related their project.
Applications must be submitted to Lisa Duncan at llduncan@purdue.edu by 5 p.m. April 22. Final decisions will be made and communicated to the applicants by May 6.

Societal Impact Fellows Program
A dozen faculty or staff members from Purdue's West Lafayette campus will be chosen to participate in the Societal Impact Fellows Program for Fall 2022.
Societal Impact fellows will work with a panel of senior faculty mentors from Purdue who have a history of successful engaged scholarship. This program will focus on (1) enhancing societal impact across mission areas and integrating societal impact within grant proposals. Fellows will receive direct feedback from mentors on their proposals, with a special emphasis on integrating societal impact. Fellows also receive a stipend of $1,000 for participating and completing the semester-long program.
Applications must be submitted to Lisa Duncan at llduncan@purdue.edu by 5 p.m. April 29. Final decisions will be made and communicated to the applicants by May 9.
