These presentations are an opportunity for faculty and staff to join in a conversation about the resources available to campus that align with the Steps to Leaps pillars. Interested individuals can register by clicking on the title for the chosen event.

The events are as follows:

Feb. 7 (M) – Joining the Steps to Leaps Students Organization Can Help Students Grow

Steps to Leaps Students is an organization where students can join others in learning the skills that will help them be a successful Purdue student. It also gives them an opportunity to gain leadership experiences, presentation opportunities and a community. This session will outline the new organization and share student experiences. The presentation will run 9-10 a.m. ET.

Feb. 15 (Tu) – Learning Communities Can Help Students Grow Within All Steps to Leaps Pillars

Learning communities give students an opportunity to learn, take classes and participate in experiences outside the classroom with a cohort of students with a similar interest. This session will cover how students can join a learning community, why students joined their community and what they've gained from participating. The presentation will run 9-10 a.m. ET.

Feb. 28 (M) – Steps to Leaps and Diversity Inclusion Presentation 1: Inclusive Collaborations

In this first part of a two-part partnership series between Steps to Leaps and the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, Christopher Munt and Megha Anwer will open a dialogue about the ways to identify opportunities for inclusive collaborations. Woven into these conversations will be how to build and grow authentic partnerships. The presentation will run 1-2 p.m. ET.

March 24 (Th) –  Student Conduct Helps Students Build Grit

The Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities as well as staff in University Residences play a large role in teaching and supplying students with the tools they need to pick themselves up when faced with a personal or academic struggle. Based around the Steps to Leaps Grit pillar, this session will discuss the ways the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities and University Residences work with students on Purdue's campus. The presentation will run 9-10 a.m. ET.

April 8 (F) – Steps to Leaps and Diversity Inclusion Presentation 2: A Continuing Conversation

In this second part of a two-part partnership series between Steps to Leaps and the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, Christopher Munt will be joined by colleagues across campus to continue the conversation about diversity and inclusion at Purdue. April 19 (Tu) – How Networks are Created in Fraternity, Sorority and Cooperative Life

Purdue University is home to 11 cooperative houses and more than 80 fraternities and sororities that all offer opportunities to build a network with fellow Boilermakers, lead, learn and give back to the community with peers looking for the same type of community. This session will describe how FSCL helps build some of the strongest bonds on campus. The presentation will run 1-2 p.m. ET.
