Healthy Boiler virtual workshop to focus on gardening in small spaces; register by May 6
Home gardens can take on many shapes and sizes, including very small ones. An upcoming virtual Healthy Boiler workshop – “Small Space Gardening” – offered by Purdue Extension Tippecanoe County, in partnership with the Center for Healthy Living on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus, will teach participants how they can reap the benefits of gardening even in the smallest of spaces. The workshop supports the physical, mental and social pillars of the Healthy Boiler Program.
Led by Amber Noll, extension educator, Purdue Health and Human Sciences, the workshop will take place from noon to 1 p.m. May 7 via WebEx. Those interested should register via the Healthy Boiler Portal by May 6 (registration link can be found under the "Engage" tab, “Wellness Events” on the portal’s homepage).
When it's time, join the WebEx here (meeting number: 618 132 721; meeting password: mfWuCG8ZV53).
Healthy Boiler workshops are free to benefits-eligible faculty and staff, as well as dependents covered on a Purdue health plan. Additionally, information for first-time gardeners is available via Purdue Extension. See “Advice for first-time gardeners: Start small” for details.
