The Center for Healthy Living (CHL) on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus is offering a Healthy Boiler virtual workshop on motivation from 12:10 to 12:50 on Jan. 29. The workshop supports the behavioral health pillar of the Healthy Boiler Program.

Presented by Amanda Hathcock, employee assistance counselor at the CHL, the workshop will look at the different types of motivation and how best to use it in everyday life.

“I think there is a widespread appreciation for the benefits of motivation and less understanding of what we can do to personally influence our own feelings of motivation,” Hathcock says. “This workshop will help those in attendance better understand our role in bringing motivation to our days.”

Those interested should register for the workshop by Jan. 28 via the Healthy Boiler Portal. Registration link can be found under the “Engage” tab, “Wellness Events” on the portal’s homepage. Once registered, the GoToMeeting Link will be sent to use to access the workshop. Healthy Boiler workshops are free to all benefits-eligible faculty and staff and dependents covered on a Purdue medical plan.

Questions about the workshop can be directed to CHL at 765-494-0111. CHL is open for medical appointments from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. Lab hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For after hours and weekend care, you may contact the Anthem NurseLine at 888-279-5449 or visit LiveHealth Online for a virtual appointment.
