Tips on time: SuccessFactors timekeeping resources

All Purdue employees receive an assigned time profile and work schedule within SuccessFactors. As new hires join the University, their time profiles and work schedules are assigned by the employment or payroll center and are viewable through the employee profile.

Non-exempt (hourly paid) employees record time one of three ways:

  • Negative time entry profile – Does not record time or submit time sheets unless recording time worked is more than regular schedule indicates (i.e., overtime or call back).
  • Positive time entry profile – Records hours worked each day and submits time sheet weekly.
  • Purdue Webclock – Records hours worked by clock-in and clock-out times. Employees clock in and out at a kiosk or by accessing purdue.eduon their mobile device or a computer.

Timekeeping training resources are located on the Employee Information, Timekeeping and Time Off tile on the Training webpage. Employees can also use www.purdue.edu/timehelp to get to the webpage.

The below resources are used by employees accessing the time sheet in SuccessFactors.

Supervisors approve time entered through the Webclock or the SuccessFactors time sheet by 10 p.m. Monday following the end of each pay period, according to the online process.

Employees with multiple positions should ensure they are selecting the correct position when recording time.

Biweekly pay periods and pay dates are viewable online.
