Department of Nutrition Science offering spring cooking series to the public
The Department of Nutrition Science is offering a cooking series this spring with sessions on everything from pizza and burgers to soups and salad.
All classes are interactive and include instruction, hands-on cooking, tasting of all recipes, and a recipe booklet to take home.
Classes scheduled for this spring, all on Wednesdays:
* Jan. 16: Soups and Stews to Keep You Warm
* Jan. 30: Freezer Friendly Meals
* Feb. 13: Bring on the Pizza!
* Feb. 27: “Pass the Salad, Please!”
* March 6: Budget Bites
* March 20: Superfoods
* April 3: Burgers and Fries with a Twist
* April 17: Let’s Plan a Picnic
Participants must be 18 or older to attend a cooking workshop. Classes will be held 5:30- 7 p.m. in Lyles-Porter Hall Demo Kitchen, Room 1107. Parking is available in the Harrison Street Parking Garage right next to Lyles-Porter Hall. Participants should take a ticket as they enter and ask the class instructor to validate it.
