Purdue sends support, encourages donations for those affected by hurricanes Harvey, Irma

The Purdue community extends its sympathies and support to those affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. Faculty, staff and students who would like to help are encouraged to do so by donating through United Way, the American Red Cross, or to a charity or organization of their choice.

* United Way -- https://www.unitedway.org/hurricane-harvey

* American Red Cross -- Visit redcross.org; call 800-RED CROSS; or text the word HARVEY to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

Purdue's Civic Engagement and Leadership Development office also is working with its student steering committee, Boilers in Action, to help those affected by hurricanes Harvey and Irma by collecting items to be used in Church World Service emergency cleanup buckets. More information about the effort is here.
