Stacey Connaughton is a professor in the Brian Lamb School of Communication and director of the Purdue Policy Research Institute.

Purdue President Mung Chiang has appointed Stacey Connaughton, professor in the Brian Lamb School of Communication and director of the Purdue Policy Research Institute in Discovery Park District at Purdue, as the vice chair of the Purdue@DC Council.

In this role, Connaughton will serve as a strategic partner to the Purdue@DC Council chair, Steve Schultz, co-leading the long-term visioning and strategic planning for Purdue@DC in existing priority areas and identifying new opportunities for Purdue researchers, innovators, educators and students.

She will work collaboratively with Purdue@DC partners — the Office of Research, Purdue University Online, Purdue Global, the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy, the Purdue Applied Research Institute, Purdue Research Foundation, the Center for C-SPAN Scholarship & Engagement, and the Purdue Policy Research Institute — along with the Office of the President; the university’s federal relations team; Purdue Brand Studio; and Purdue colleges, schools, departments, centers, and institutes to advance existing and develop new programs and initiatives based in Washington, D.C.
