Upcoming Healthy Boiler workshop focuses on combating seasonal allergies

The Center for Healthy Living (CHL) is offering a virtual Healthy Boiler workshop focused on seasonal allergies. The workshop, titled “Seasonal Allergies: A Guide to Combating Symptoms,” takes place June 25 from noon to 1 p.m. ET via Teams.

Led by Whitney Soto, lead registered nurse health coach at the West Lafayette CHL location, the workshop will  cover causes, symptoms, treatment options and prevention strategies of seasonal allergies.

Those interested in attending the workshop should register by June 24 via the Healthy Boiler Portal. The registration link can be found under the “Healthy Boiler Workshops” section on the portal’s home page. Hover over the “Seasonal Allergies: A Guide to Combating Symptoms” square and click on the information “i” to register.

Additionally, for those experiencing allergy symptoms like sneezing, a stuffy or runny nose, and watery eyes, the CHL locations have resources available to help keep symptoms under control throughout allergy season.

Healthy Boiler workshops and lifestyle programs are free to all benefits-eligible faculty and staff and their dependents covered on a Purdue health plan. Healthy Boiler workshops are designed to educate attendees and help improve their overall health and wellness.

Questions can be directed to the CHL at 765-494-0111.
