Upcoming Healthy Boiler workshop focuses on heart health

February is recognized annually as American Heart Month, and the Center for Healthy Living (CHL) is hosting a workshop titled “Be Kind to Your Heart” on Feb. 19.

Amy Becker, health coach at the CHL at Purdue Northwest, will lead the workshop. Attendees will learn why heart health is important and the correlation between lifestyle choices, habits and heart health. Tips to increase physical activity, improve diet and incorporate other healthy heart habits will be shared.

The workshop takes place from noon to 1 p.m. ET Feb. 19. Those interested in attending should register prior to the workshop via the Healthy Boiler Portal. The registration link can be found under the “Healthy Boiler Workshops” section on the portal’s homepage. Hover over the “Be Kind to Your Heart” square and click on the information “i” to register.

Healthy Boiler workshops and lifestyle programs are free to all benefits-eligible faculty and staff and their dependents.
