John Martinson Honors College seeks faculty applicants for 2027-28 teaching opportunities

The John Martinson Honors College (JMHC) is accepting applications for two faculty opportunities for the 2027-28 academic year: the JMHC Faculty Fellows Program and HONR course proposals.

JMHC Faculty Fellows Program

Tenure-track and clinical Purdue faculty with full-time-equivalent appointments are invited to apply to the JMHC Faculty Fellows Program.

Faculty Fellows make a three-year commitment to the JMHC that extends beyond teaching an individual course. Fellows teach interdisciplinary honors seminars related to their areas of expertise, mentor honors students in research and engagement, and participate in programming that support the college.

JMHC welcomed its first cohort of Faculty Fellows in fall 2026. The current list of appointed Faculty Fellows can be viewed on the JMHC website.

JMHC course proposals

Purdue instructors with terminal degrees in their field, including tenure-track, clinical/practice and lecturer faculty, are invited to propose HONR courses for the 2027-28 academic year.

Faculty interested in teaching with JMHC without taking on the broader three-year Faculty Fellow commitment may submit an individual HONR course proposal. HONR courses are small, interdisciplinary classes that introduce students to topics and perspectives from across academic fields.
