There’s still time to earn 2024 Healthy Boiler Wellness incentives; deadline is Dec. 31

Human Resources reminds benefits-eligible employees (and spouses covered on a Purdue health plan) on the West Lafayette, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and Northwest campuses that there’s still time to earn 2024 Healthy Boiler Wellness Program incentives. The deadline is Dec. 31 to have annual physicals (and biometrics/other optional steps if desired) completed and submitted via the Healthy Boiler Portal.

In 2024 eligible employees and spouses can earn incentives through a variety of steps.

  • Step 1: Complete Annual Physical
Upload the 2024 physical form to the Healthy Boiler Portal and complete required fields.
  • Note: The annual physical must be completed before payment for other objectives will be paid; however, individuals can complete the steps in whatever order they choose.
  • Step 2 (optional): Complete Annual Biometrics, Complete Health Risk Assessment, Complete Dental or Vision Exam, Complete Well-being Screening

Healthy Boiler incentives earned in December 2024 will be posted to the HSA or HRA at the end of January 2025; funds will apply to the new tax year’s contribution limit set by the IRS.

A report in aggregate will be provided to Human Resources indicating how much each person should receive based on completed items. Human Resources does not receive any personal health information related to incentive completion.

Details are available on the Earn Incentives webpage.

In 2025 the Healthy Boiler Wellness Program incentive will be back with even more opportunities to earn HSA or HRA funds. Healthy Boiler incentives next year can be earned from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2025, and include the required annual physical as well as additional, optional incentive opportunities:

  • Completing annual biometrics
  • Completing health risk assessment
  • Completing dental or vision exam
  • Completing anxiety/depression screening
  • Completing one annual preventive wellness screening, such as a bone density screening, colonoscopy, etc.
  • Completing one annual vaccination, such as a flu shot, shingles vaccine, etc.

The Healthy Boiler Wellness Program website will be updated with 2025 program information in January.
