Purdue Chemistry Show includes color-changing fountains, glowing reactions

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Colorful chemical reactions, including those that glow in the dark, are the focus of Purdue University's chemistry show on Saturday (Nov. 10).
The one-hour show begins at 10 a.m. in Wetherill Laboratory of Chemistry, Room 200. The show is free and open to the public and suitable for all ages.
Demonstrations will include color-changing chemical fountains, kitchen sink color chemistry and a wide variety of reactions that glow in the dark, said Paul E. Smith, director of lecture demonstrations. Audience volunteers will get to participate in a color-changing chemistry race.
