Boilermaker community honors departing President Chiang, family at farewell reception

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Purdue community gathered Monday (June 22) in the Purdue Memorial Union North Ballroom for a farewell reception celebrating President Mung Chiang and First Lady Kei as they prepare to conclude their service to the university June 30.
The reception brought together faculty, staff, students, trustees and community leaders who shared well-wishes; reflected on the First Family’s impact; and expressed appreciation for the time, support and engagement they have shown since their arrival in West Lafayette in 2017.
Throughout the event, Chiang and Kei connected with attendees, took time for conversations, and expressed their gratitude for the collaboration and strong sense of community that have defined their time at Purdue.
