Purdue Global appoints Marlo Robinson as new nursing dean and vice president   

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue Global announced the appointment of Marlo Robinson to its leadership team as dean and vice president of the School of Nursing, effective Monday (Aug. 18).

Robinson of Hollywood, Florida, will oversee nearly 400 faculty and staff members in a school that offers an associate degree program, an RN-to-BSN program, master’s and postgraduate certificates with six specialty options, dual master’s degrees, and a doctorate program for nursing. The nursing school serves almost 4,000 students.

Robinson has served as an adjunct faculty member with Purdue Global for more than a decade. She previously served as national dean of nursing for Concorde Career Colleges. She earned her doctor of nursing practice from Purdue Global, her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University and her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. She is a certified doula and birth trainer, a licensed attorney in Florida, and serves as the National League for Nursing’s appointed consultant to the National Student Nurses’ Association.

“Dr. Robinson brings a breadth of experiences we believe have prepared her to lead our growing School of Nursing. Her knowledge of numerous online platforms, health care organizations, simulation centers, firsthand observations in private practice about the needs of nurse leaders, and her work with nursing students all stood out,” said Purdue Global Provost Carolyn Nordstrom. “We are excited to see her build on the School of Nursing’s culture of excellence, student success, innovation and growth.”
