The Guild and Team USA Learning Network allows two-time U.S. Olympian and bronze medalist Ashley Farquharson to take classes from Purdue Global. Farquharson won a bronze medal Feb. 10 at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 in women’s singles luge.

Ashley Farquharson followed her dreams to Italy, where she earned a bronze medal Tuesday (Feb. 10) in women’s singles luge during the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.

Farquharson, a two-time U.S. Olympian, finished with a total time of 3:31.582 across four runs, 0.957 seconds behind the gold medal winner and 0.039 seconds behind the silver medalist.

Through a partnership between Guild and Team USA, Farquharson will return to classes at Purdue Global after the Winter Olympics with the goal of earning her bachelor’s degree in business. Purdue Global is the preferred online university and degree provider of the Guild and Team USA Learning Network.

Farquharson is the first active student from Purdue Global and the Purdue system to ever receive a Winter Olympics medal.
