Center for Healthy Living (CHL) location open on Purdue Northwest’s Hammond campus

The Healthy Boiler Program champions cost-controlled benefits and easily accessible resources, and now employees at Purdue Northwest can enjoy services provided by the Center for Healthy Living (CHL). The CHL at Purdue Northwest officially opened on November 14 on the Hammond campus and is located directly across from the Fitness and Recreation Center (FRC).

The same services offered on the West Lafayette campus are available at the Purdue Northwest location. Offering a wide range of services to treat common illnesses, manage chronic conditions, provide preventive care and promote overall health, the CHL at Purdue Northwest currently provides care to benefits-eligible faculty and staff as well as dependents covered on a Purdue health plan.

Primary care services available include:

  • Treatment for common illnesses such as allergies, bronchitis, colds, flu and more
  • Primary care and wellness including annual physicals, allergy shots, blood pressure checks and more
  • Condition management for chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension and care coordination
  • Lab work/Tier 1 lab offers comprehensive lab services

Wellness services available include:

  • Health coaching
  • Registered dietitian services
  • Medication therapy management
  • Tobacco cessation

Appointment and lab hours:

  • Monday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Wednesday – Thursday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Friday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
