Anthem’s new mobile app – Sydney – launched Sept. 1, 2019, and is simple, smart and all about you! Sydney replaces the Anthem Anywhere mobile app effective Sept. 1.  Nevertheless, don’t worry; it’s easy to make the switch.

Dedicated open enrollment web page offers one-stop shop for 2020 open enrollment

Open enrollment 2020 begins Tuesday, Oct. 29 and runs through 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Nov. 12. In preparation, Human Resources – Benefits is proud to announce a new look and feel to its benefits website. Offering a user-friendly browsing experience for faculty and staff through an enhanced easy-to-navigate, uncluttered design, the home page currently features a link to the dedicated open enrollment web page.

Suicide Prevention Awarness Month

September is recognized annually as National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that suicide is rising across the US, and is the leading cause of death in the US for all ages.

Healthy Boiler wellness incentives return for third year

For its third year in a row, the Healthy Boiler Program is back and again includes an incentive piece. Beginning Oct.1, 2019, you will be able to earn $325 (employee only) or $650 (employee + spouse, employee + child or employee + family) as additions to your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) as part of Healthy Boiler 2020.

Free flu shots returning to all Purdue campuses for 2019

Who needs the flu vaccine? The answer is YOU.

Once again, benefits-eligible faculty and staff – as well as dependents covered on a Purdue medical plan -- will have on-campus access to their free flu vaccines for 2019 on all three Purdue campuses.

 

Human Resources announces customer service location in Stewart Center closing indefinitely

The Human Resources customer service location in Stewart Center, Room G66 is now closed. The center’s closing will help maximize resources and accommodate staffing needs in preparation for and throughout open enrollment.

We’re a 5 Star AchieveWELL company – thanks to the Healthy Boiler program, flu shots and more

Purdue University has received the 5 Star AchieveWELL designation through the Wellness Council of Indiana. The Wellness Council of Indiana developed the AchieveWELL program to assist employers in creating a corporate culture that encourages and supports employee health through workplace wellness efforts.

Reminder: September 30 is the deadline to earn Healthy Boiler 2019 incentives

We can’t remind you enough that you still have time to earn the 2019 Healthy Boiler incentives! The deadline to complete and upload your physical and biometrics screening information into the Healthy Boiler portal is Sept. 30, 2019.

Mark your calendars: Wellness and family-friendly programs coming up

Type 2 diabetes, sleep awareness, social wellness, breastfeeding, retirement savings, making nutrition fun for kids, retirement savings and more are the topics for the Center for Healthy Living and family-friendly workshops being offered third quarter of 2019. Workshops are free to all benefits-eligible faculty and staff and dependents covered on a Purdue medical plan. Individuals can register online via the Healthy Boiler portal.
