Center for Healthy Living to offer drive-through, walk-in, on-campus flu shots this flu season
Seasonal flu shots are provided annually at no charge to all benefits-eligible Purdue faculty and staff, as well as spouses and dependents covered on a Purdue health plan, through a variety of means.
Drive-through flu shots at the CHL
The Center for Healthy Living (CHL), located at 1400 W. State St., Building B, Suite C, on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus, will begin distributing flu shots on September 8 with convenient, drive-through flu vaccines.*
Drive-through flu shots will be offered in the parking center Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout September, with both morning and evening time slots available for added convenience. The CHL drive-through flu shot schedule is below:
Wednesdays from 7 to 9 a.m.
- September 8
- September 15
- September 22
- September 29
Thursdays from 4 to 6 p.m.
- September 9
- September 16
- September 23
- September 30
Walk-in flu shots at the CHL
The CHL also will offer flu vaccines at the center to benefits-eligible employees and dependents covered on a Purdue health plan on a walk-in basis beginning October 1.* Patients can simply stop by to receive their flu shots; appointments are not required.
Pediatric patients 6 months and older can also receive their flu shots at the CHL beginning October 1.*

In addition, the CHL has on-campus flu shot events planned as follows:*

7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Identification required
Regardless of location, individuals coming for a flu shot should bring their Purdue University ID (PUID) card or their Anthem medical plan ID card.
Additional flu shot options
As of August 23, Purdue University Pharmacy (PUP) is providing flu shots on a walk-in basis between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.***
Campus flu shot events will be held at a variety of locations on the West Lafayette campus. More details will be released via Purdue Today on these events at a later date.
Employees also can schedule their flu vaccines with their healthcare providers or at a local pharmacy.

*The CHL will be administering the Fluzone Quadrivalent vaccine which is designed to protect against four different flu viruses; two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses and is approved for anyone ages 6 months and older. Additionally, the Flucelvax Quadrivalent Pre-filled Syringe - preservative-free, egg-free, latex-free product – will be available.
