2023 Small Farm Education Field Day

The Purdue Small Farm Education Field Day was held July 27 at the Purdue Student Farm. Around a hundred participants came out to learn about the latest research from Purdue Extension specialists and researchers to help small farmers in Indiana. Petrus Langenhoven and Dennis Gustavo Toc Mo (“High Tunnel Pepper Production and Variety Selection”), Miranda Purcell (“High Tunnel Table Grape Production”), Steve Meyers (“Silage Tarps and Their Potential Uses on Small Farms”), Wenjing Guan, Emerson Luna, Wil Brown-Grimm (”Growing Grains on the Small Farm – Dry Edible Bean Variety Trial”) and the students from the Purdue Student Farm all presented at the field day. Colleagues from Entomology, Food Science, and Diversified Farming and Food Systems also presented.
