2022 Midwest Mint Growers Conference – HLA Happenings

2022 Midwest Mint Growers Conference

The Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture (HLA) and the College of Agriculture (CoA) are vital partners of the Indiana Mint Market Development and Research Council (IMMDC). Meredith Cobb (CoA research administration specialist), Petrus Langenhoven, Lori Hoagland, Stephen Meyers (HLA), and Elizabeth Long (ENT) support Midwest mint grower efforts with research projects on peppermint and spearmint. The annual Midwest Mint Growers Conference was scheduled for February 24-25, 2022 but due to the pandemic, organizers decided to move the conference online. Through a Purdue Extension YouTube playlist, growers are receiving a departmental update from Linda Prokopy and research updates on biological approaches to Verticillium wilt management, weed management, and Asiatic Garden Beetles. All speaker recordings are now available at https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtXSf1tu3Jd_00wwZBN4coTiw6xcfs53V
