The link between eating patterns and health is intuitive, but variable due, in part, to how patterns are defined. They have been characterized by time course (e.g., circadian, infradian), nutrients, foods, economics and culture. This conference will:
1. Explore the benefits and limitations of each definition;
2 . Evaluate the consequences of eating pattern disruption due to lifestyle changes and selected events;
3. Examine the integration of environmental, and physiological influences on ingestive behavior; and
4. Consider the applications of current knowledge related eating patterns and future research directions from the perspectives of government, industry and clinical practice
