The Discovery Park Undergraduate Research Internship (DURI) program supports undergraduates to investigate problems in the key strategic areas of Global Security, Health, and Sustainability. Purdue University-West Lafayette faculty interested in organizing a Fall 2018 project should submit a project proposal via.https://www.purdue.edu/undergrad-research/ourconnect/public/duri/. Each project should involve 2 or more distinct academic disciplines (represented by faculty from different departments) and at least 2 undergraduate students. No faculty cost-sharing will be required. The faculty submission deadline for Fall 2018 projects has been extended to July 30, 2018.
Students may submit applications for up to three projects from August 1 – August 20. All eligible student applications will be forwarded to faculty project supervisors for review and final selection, which are due by Monday, August 27. Each participating student will earn a $1000 fall fellowship, with DURI contributing the full amount.
Please note that the faculty deadline for Spring 2019 projects is anticipated to be November 26, 2018 (the Monday after Thanksgiving); student applications will be due December 8, 2018.
