DUIRI Spring 2026 Applications Now Open

Discovery Park District has announced new research opportunities for the Discovery Undergraduate Interdisciplinary Research Internship (DUIRI) Spring 2026 session.
Undergraduate students at Purdue West Lafayette or Indianapolis with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and at least one semester completed are eligible to apply. Students may apply for up to three projects but can participate in only one per semester.
Projects span themes in global security, health, and sustainability, with several co-funded by the Institute for a Sustainable Future (ISF). ISF-supported projects focus on sustainability topics such as water, climate, renewable energy, and environmental justice.

Each selected student will receive a $1,000 fellowship for the spring term.

  • Notification of selection: November 26, 2025

DUIRI Fall 2025 – Ongoing Session (August 25th to December 13th)

Undergraduate students from Purdue West Lafayette and Indianapolis have been selected to participate in the Fall 2025 DUIRI session, featuring 13 interdisciplinary faculty-led projects in Global Health (4), Global Security (4), and Global Sustainability (5).

Key Fall 2025 Dates & Deliverables
  • August 22, 2025 – Learning Contracts Due (students will send completed contracts to duiri@purdue.edu)
  • November 18 – November 21, 2025 – Fall Undergraduate Research Symposium
  • December 8, 2025 – Post Abstract on DUIRI e-Pubs Site
  • December 8, 2025 – Abstract and Poster Due (email to duiri@purdue.edu)
