Canva for Purdue

You cannot merge personal and Purdue accounts, but you have a couple of options for using Canva for Purdue:

• Link both accounts and switch between them from your profile menu. Learn more in Canva’s “Switch to different Canva accounts” guide. 
• Move designs between accounts by copying them to another team or account. Learn how to do this in Canva’s “Copy designs or files to another team or account” guide. 

If you’re currently paying for Canva on another team, you may be eligible for a refund before moving to Canva for Purdue. Contact Canva Support for assistance getting this refund. 

At this time, Canva is an additional tool for communicators and marketers at Purdue, offered alongside Marq as part of our broader tool set. We’ll continue to gather feedback to better understand how Canva supports your work and how it fits into our broader tool set. 

As with any design tool, it is important to understand how to apply Purdue’s brand guidelines correctly when creating materials. Visit the Purdue Brand Studio Brand webpage for more information and training materials. 

Canva for Purdue includes all the tools, templates and resources you need to create effective, on-brand communications for your team.

A Canva-specific brand guide is also available in the Brand Templates section of the Purdue Canva environment. It includes key brand reminders for Purdue communicators, along with Canva-specific guidance such as approved font alternatives.

At this time, use within Canva is not restricted, and we encourage exploration to help our community learn and become comfortable with the tool.

That said, any Purdue-related work should follow Purdue brand guidelines and use approved brand kits and templates.

Yes. Make sure the person you’re collaborating with has a Canva for Purdue account. You can tag colleagues and share links with them directly. Visit Canva’s “Share designs with your team” resource for more information.  

Currently, Purdue’s Canva environment includes a curated selection of apps and integrations. If there’s an app or a tool you’d like to see available in Canva, let us know at digital-marketing@purdue.edu so we can evaluate it for future access.

Note: If you want to integrate PhotoShelter with Canva, we recommend logging in to PhotoShelter in a new browser tab before adding it through Canva’s “Apps” tab. This can make the login process smoother.
