Cascade Site Settings
The Purdue Cascade theme provides a system for building and managing content-heavy websites. Many of the settings can be edited in the Site Information block.
Header
The header anchors your site with Purdue branding while allowing space for departmental identity.
- Add the site name, such as “Office of … ”
- Optionally, add Helpful Links and Quick Links; these are visible in the hamburger menu.
Footer
The footer is a flexible space for contact information, social links and navigation, ending with a branded Purdue signature. All of the fields are optional. You can choose to add your own links or stick with the default footer items.
- Add up to four columns of links or resources.
- Add social media links.
- Add a custom Contact Us page.
Search
Place your Google Custom Search Engine ID here. To create a new Google Custom Search Engine ID, visit https://cse.google.com/cse/all.
- Add a Google Custom Search Engine ID.
- Add trending search terms; these will be shown as a placeholder in the search box.
Google Analytics
- Add My Google Tag Manager ID.
Site CSS (optional)
- Add a CSS source. (This can be text or a link.)
Site Scripts (optional)
- Add Head Scripts Source. (This can be text or a link.)
- Add Body Scripts Source. (This can be text or a link.)
Templates
The Cascade template has several “template” pages that you can use to quickly get up and running. These pages can be found under the +Add Content menu item. These quick-start templates include:
- Homepage
- Landing page
- Content page examples (four total)
- Hero examples (three total)
