Security

Bicycle Parking

  • Always park at a bike rack or designated bike parking area.
  • Choose a U-lock or heavy-duty chain lock for the best theft protection.
  • Use the online campus bike map to find nearby parking.
  • Reminder that improperly parked bikes may be impounded.

Preventing Theft

  • Thread the U-lock through the frame’s rear triangle.
  • Catch the rear wheel and the rack in the same loop.
  • Push out the slack. The less room inside the lock, the better.
  • Make sure your bike is registered with Parking Operations.
