Road closure and lane restrictions expected as work continues for Dudley Hall and Lambertus Hall

As work continues for Dudley Hall and Lambertus Hall, two major roads will be impacted this summer.

Grant Street between Northwestern Avenue and Central Drive will close from May 17 through Aug. 26. Motorists coming from the south and east can use North Street, Vine Street and West Fowler Avenue as a detour. Motorists coming from the west can use Northwestern Avenue and North Street as an alternate route.

Additionally, restrictions will be in place along the southbound lanes of Northwestern Avenue near the Grant Street intersection during that same time frame, but traffic will still be maintained.

This new facility will serve both the College of Engineering and Purdue Polytechnic Institute by housing instructional space, design studios, collaborative spaces and administrative office space. The project is expected to be completed in September.

Pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists should continue to be cautious in the area, obey all posted signs and seek alternate routes.
