Purdue names 2013 Homecoming queen and king

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University students Joe Rust and Maureen Jones were crowned the 2013 Homecoming king and queen during Saturday's (Sept. 28) 211˚ Session at Mackey Arena.
They appeared at Homecoming festivities Saturday (Sept. 28), including the football game's halftime celebration.
Rust is a senior studying agribusiness management from Seymour, Ind. Jones is a senior studying special/elementary education from West Lafayette, Ind.
They were chosen by online student voting and formal interviews by a judging panel composed of faculty, staff, students, alumni and community leaders.
Members of the queen's court are Annalise Dietzen of Naperville, Ill.; Kelli Fultz of Indianapolis; Alison Gatons of Avon, Ind.; Erin Whittaker of West Lafayette, Ind.; Alexandra Zawodni of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and Patty Ziccarelli of Lake Forest, Ill.
Members of the king's court are Josh Folk of Winnipeg, Canada, Stephen Joest of Carmel, Ind.; Gabriel Magallanes of Lafayette, Ind.; Travis Martin of Deer Creek, Ind.; Michael Welling of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and Cody Wilson of Greenwood, Ind.
