Deadline extended for student proposals for community engagement posters

The Center for Instructional Excellence has extended the deadline through Sept. 29 for student proposals for its third annual Academic Community Engagement Poster Presentation in October.
The poster session is open to undergraduate, graduate and professional students at Purdue who are engaged in civic engagement activities locally, nationally and internationally. Interested participants should visit www.purdue.edu/cie/learning/servicelearning to submit a 300-word abstract.
The Academic Community Engagement Poster Presentation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 22 in the Materials and Electrical Engineering Building atrium. Prizes of gift cards and certificates will be awarded for first, second and third place. Attendees also will be able to vote for a People's Choice Award. Awards will be announced at 2 p.m.
