Events at Purdue canceled due to East Coast snowstorm

February 17, 2015

At least two events this week at Purdue will not take place as originally scheduled because invited speakers from the eastern United States cannot travel here due to weather. It is advisable to check on event status for any event involving someone's travel here from affected areas.

The known instances:

* Canceled: Chemical Engineering Graduate Seminar with Jeffrey Varner of Cornell University on Tuesday. Check here.

* Modified: Comparative Literature Program seminar with Sabina Knight of Smith College on Tuesday. Check here. The morning seminar discussion at 10:30-11:45 a.m. will be conducted via Skype. Knight will speak about "Dream of the Red Chamber" and her book "A Very Short Introduction to Chinese Literature." The afternoon lecture and book signing will not happen at this time, and efforts to reschedule are being made.
