Teach for America application deadline approaching

The deadline for seniors to submit an application to Teach For America is Thursday (Feb. 20).

Teach For America works with communities throughout the United States to expand educational opportunity for children facing the challenges of poverty. Founded in 1990, the program develops a diverse corps of outstanding individuals of all academic disciplines to commit two years to teach in high-need schools and become lifelong leaders in the effort for educational equity and excellence.

To be eligible to apply for Teach For America’s 2014 corps, students must have a bachelor's degree by June 2014, a 2.50 undergraduate GPA and proof of U.S. citizenship, national/permanent resident status or deferred action for childhood arrivals.
