Faculty, staff encouraged to participate in ongoing Recyclemania competition

Halfway through this year's Recyclemania competition, which runs through March 30, the Office of University Sustainability strongly encourages Purdue faculty and staff members to continue recycling their unneeded files and paperwork.

As of this week, Purdue is ranked second out of 313 universities in the Gorilla Prize division and 52nd out of 247 universities in the Grand Champion division.

Last year, Purdue ranked 10th out of 331 institutions and first in Indiana in the Gorilla Prize division. Purdue ranked 72nd out of 250 institutions in the Grand Champion division.

More information about Recyclemania 2014 can be found at www.recyclemaniacs.org.  Questions about Purdue's involvement in the contest, including which materials are recyclable, should be directed to the Office of University Sustainability at sustainability@purdue.edu.
